Octolam’s antibacterial protection is integrated within the HPL material in order to assure protection throughout its lifecycle. The silver ions encapsulated in glass balls are activated when entering into contact with humidity. They kill surface bacteria and block the cell division process, thus reducing bacteria proliferation without affecting the technical and aesthetic performance.
Oberflex real wood veneers with Oberflex High Resistance finish go beyond their aesthetic and resistance qualities. Its non-porous structure and its hardness bring anti-microbial properties which include non-proliferation of eventual bacteria, easy clean-ability, and resistance to cleaning detergents without alteration of the surface.
Bacteria and disease carrying droplets land on the common surfaces we interact with, such as tables and work surfaces. Antibacterial laminates can be used in hospitals, clinics, schools, restaurants and locker rooms. Due to its non-porous composition it is resistant to bacteria and easy to clean providing protection against bacteria, molds, yeast, and fungus.
