Obersound is a concept of acoustic panels designed and developed by Studio 5.5 collective. Obersound consists of 3 collections of perforated panels with decorative patterns inspired by natural or textile related elements to attain design interest. The perforation combined with a special installation technique provides the acoustical sound absorption. These acoustic panels can be faced with any Oberflex, Marotte, PurePaper Color and PurePaper Metal laminate. Tectonique 5.5 uses a totally new way of mounting suspended ceilings thereby widening the field of design possibilities. Unlike conventional acoustic panels that are not valued for their aesthetics, Obersound combines the beauty of natural wood with superior sound control.

Resistant to stains, impact, scratches, and abrasion
High UV resistance and a Class A fire rating
NRC values range from .65 – .95 (with proper installation techniques)
The raw materials are PEFC and FSC (mixed sources) certified
Applications: wall and ceiling panels
Available in standard panels sizes: 120 cm (47.24″) x 249 cm (98″), 60 cm (23.62″ x 249 cm (98″), 40 cm (15.75″) x 249 cm (98″), 18 mm (0.7 in) thickness.
